David took over as Trail Steward for the Versailles State Park Mountain Bike Trails in 2021. David came to mountain biking later in life having bought his first mountain bike in 2015. He has embraced mountain biking with gusto. He started volunteering with SIMBA in 2016 for Trail building and maintenance and has been an active member ever since. David and his wife Kellie share a love for mountain biking.
When conditions allow you may see them out on the trails riding and doing maintenance four or five days a week. Travels to mountain biking destinations have taken David to more than a dozen states and the list continues to grow. If you see David out on the trails, he’ll talk your ears off about mountain biking and trail maintenance.
